As a licensed engineering company with a Permit to Practice through APEGA in Alberta (Permit P14999), we adhere to the governance rules defined by the Alberta Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. We have a rigorous internal Professional Practice Management Plan as part of our Permit to Practice Holders Obligation. These rules govern how we operate in Canada and the USA and how we develop, deliver, and continuously improve our technologies, services, and support.

William’s 24-year international career includes operational and leadership positions in drilling, completions, and production technologies with startup and major oilfield service companies, including Schlumberger and Halliburton. His priority is to lead the organization to become the acknowledged leader in digital completion solutions that measurably improve operator and service company performance.
Brad’s 20 years of onshore and offshore experience spans pressure control, project management, equipment design, and testing. A founding partner, Brad is responsible for leading operations to deliver safe, reliable, and effective inVision field performance.
Steve brings more than 30 years of oil and gas leadership experience to IWS. He oversees daily operations of all IWS functional areas and helps set strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the organization meets our customers’ needs.

Two industry veterans join IWS to accelerate the adoption of digital completion technologies.
HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 7, 2022) – Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc. (IWS) is pleased to announce that Bill Henn and Rip Stringer have joined the IWS team to help the industry accelerate the adoption of digital completion technologies. Henn and Stringer report to William Standifird, IWS CEO.

Bill Henn’s 34-year oilfield career includes management, technology innovation, and business development leadership positions in drilling, completions, and production technologies with startups and Halliburton. As the Strategic Technical Advisor at IWS, he will work with industry executives and senior managers to understand how they can streamline the adoption of digital completion technologies.
Rip Stringer is a 35-year global oilfield industry veteran with extensive onshore and offshore drilling and completion technology experience. He has held various technical and commercial positions with startups and with Schlumberger. As Director of Industry Affairs at IWS, he is responsible for ensuring the IWS team creates effective connections between operators, service companies, and technical societies.

Tenth-generation inVision X technology introduces field-proven frac valve activation
November 11, 2021 – Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc. (IWS), a leading digital technology supplier that improves oil and gas well completion operations, today released its tenth-generation digital completion technology, inVision X. The upgrade to the inVision™ Technology Platform integrates engineered safety controls, automated digital standard operating procedure compliance, and remote valve activation.
CEO William Standifird commented, “The inVision X release promises to deliver a step-change in completion performance for operators and service companies. Gary Cresswell to Become Chairman of the Board
October 18, 2021 – Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc. (IWS) is pleased to announce that its board of directors has appointed William Standifird as Chief Executive Officer. Also, effective October 5, Gary Cresswell, a current non-executive director, will become independent non-executive Chairman of the Board.
William Standifird’s 24-year international career includes operational and leadership positions in drilling, completions, and production technologies with startup and major oilfield service companies, including Schlumberger and Halliburton.
Gary Cresswell is a 30-year global industry veteran with a proven ability to lead strategic, technical, and operational teams. He has held several board positions and currently serves as a non-executive director for two oilfield technology companies and as Executive Chairman of Probe Technology Holdings.
“I am thrilled to lead the IWS team as we advance our portfolio of digital completion technologies. Our inVision™ Technology Platform is unmatched in helping oil and gas operators improve completions performance,” said Standifird. “Developing and implementing a safer, more reliable, and effective digital infrastructure for hydraulic fracturing and wireline operations promise to create significant value for our customers and shareholders.”

Since 2018 the inVision Technology Platform has helped deliver more than 50,000 stages without a single cut wireline, well shut-in, pressure control, or safety incident. Significant reductions in frac valve activation time and wireline valve action times have been achieved. Well swap times of 20 seconds have been achieved, and a record of 76 hours of continuous pumping has been documented.

inVision digital completion data can be analyzed and visualized on the Corva Completions suite that automates engineering analysis and modeling. The inVision SIMOPS allows engineers to develop key operational learnings from digital completion data with Corva’s data analytics and AI technologies.
